You know, we can talk till the cows come home on the unethical practise of affiliate parasites, and though it would be heard out, nothing really is ever done to come to a fair and ethical decision.To me, that just proves beyond any shadow of doubt, that the companies that enlist thousands of affiliates, are also part of the parasite scheme in some way.Most likely they either give a slightly lesser commission to these parasites, or perhaps they actually own the Affiliate Parasite company in the first place.The only people that can make an impact and create change are the Merchants and Powersellers.First off, the Merchants need to disassociate with the cookie stuffers like One Cause, and affiliate programs that allow One Cause to operate, like Linkshare,CJ and others.Without the Merchants, they have nothing to steal from.
Powersellers are a little different, as they work on eBay’s selling platform.Many powersellers, have chosen to use Auctiva to enhance their listings.In doing so, they have inadvertently allowed a parasite in.Affiliates that work their asses off to push traffic to these powersellers, almost always loose their commissions to Auctiva and other image providers.Once again it could be simply rectified by all sellers refusing to use Auctiva and other photo providers.However, their is a little secret I would like to share with the Merchants and the Powersellers, for their convenience in understanding what is to come if they refuse to take positive action, rather than just set on their asses and do nothing.
I now of several people that have great knowledge on writing scripts, and I can say that they are working on scripts at this very moment, that will enable a webmaster to block-out Affiliate Parasite Toolbars from their sites, block certain merchants that support those that stuff cookies, and block out any eBay seller that uses an image provider that is suspected or known to rob commissions.When you upset the very ones that are the life blood for your traffic, you stand to loose a great deal of money.And if you think that the Affiliate Parasites are geared up to push traffic to you, think again!They are only around to do as little as possible, to get the money…no matter how unethical it may be!Taking action is not an option, do it before it’s too late or go belly up eventually!
